Statement by BBG Chairman Jeff Shell to Broadcasting Board of Governors Employees
Yesterday, the House of Representatives passed the United States International Communications Reform Act of 2014 (H.R. 4490). Should it become law, this legislation would make significant changes to the agency.
My fellow Board members and I have been closely following developments involving this bill. We are aware of the concerns that have been raised, as well as the reasoning of the bill’s authors and supporters. The measure now moves on to the Senate.
