BBG Watch Commentary
BBC has a report on multiple demonstrations in Iran on its homepage as top world news, but U.S. taxpayer-funded Voice of America (VOA), mismanaged by the Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG), has not as yet put up the Iran protest story on its main English-language news homepage.
As of now, Friday, December 29, 2017, 3:30 PM ET, VOA News has only an outdated AP report on the protests which is buried inside its website. The AP story inside the VOA website has the headline: “Protesters Arrested in Iran After Rally Against Price Hikes.” It shows that it was posted by VOA “December 28, 2017 3:14 PM.”
