United States National Security Advisor Susan Rice held talks Tuesday at the White House on Iran and Ukraine with Catherine Ashton, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, but U.S. taxpayer-funded Voice of America (VOA) failed to report on this meeting.
VOA News also failed to report that President Obama dropped by the meeting with Lady Ashton at the White House. VOA News did report in two sentences on an earlier meeting in Washington between Catherine Ashton and Secretary of State John Kerry.
“We are not going to sit idly by while Russian elements fan the flame of instability,” Kerry said Tuesday, speaking at the State Department in Washington after meeting with the European Union’s foreign policy chief, Catherine Ashton, VOA News reported.
VOA NEWS: “Ashton called Ukraine’s May 25 presidential election an important step toward stabilization. She said the Ukrainian people will decide what Ukraine is and what it will be.”
Since the news of the White House meeting with Catherine Ashton, in which President Obama participated, was released after business hours in Washington, the Voice of America English News in its usual manner failed to report it. VOA Ukrainian and Russian services also did not have this news.
The following tweet was posted by President Obama’s National Security Advisor Susan Rice. It was retweeted by U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt.
