At 12:52 AM ET, U.S. taxpayer-funded ($224M FY2017) Voice of America (VOA) finally managed to get one thousand LIVE views on Facebook for its 2016 U.S. vote report from Washington. The intro to the VOA LIVE Facebook post misspelled White House as “White houze.” The VOA Facebook post was showing 190 Likes, 43 Comments, and 10 Shares.
A little later, BBC News was also LIVE on Facebook. BBC News Facebook post was showing 23,900 LIVE views, 10,200 Likes, 3,300 Comments, and 1,100 Shares.
The Voice of America is overseen and managed by the Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG), which then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton described in 2013 as “practically defunct.”
