BBG Watch was told by several sources that a 39 second video of Voice of America (VOA) veteran correspondents commenting on the World War II Victory Flyover on the National Mall in Washington, May 8, 2015, was part of an effort by VOA managers to introduce more such short videos and to post them on social media. But according to the same sources, the experiment had a bad start when some current and former Voice of America journalists and several current and former Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) members concluded after watching the video that it fell far short of what they consider to be VOA production standards.
