We finally caught Voice of America’s VOA NOW English transmission LIVE on Facebook. At 10:33 PM ET, 33 minutes into the LIVE transmission, VOA was showing only 41 LIVE Facebook views worldwide.
Facebook has 1.79 BILLION users.
VOA is overseen by the Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG), which then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton described in 2013 as “practically defunct.”
At the same time, Russia’s RT has been LIVE on Facebook for two hours while VOA was uploading occasional posts.
At 10:36 PM ET, RT America had 1,200 LIVE Facebook views, 580 Facebook Likes, and 57 Comments.
An earlier Facebook LIVE BBC News transmission was showing 17,800 views, 3,200 Facebook Likes, and 1,300 Comments.
